No. DriveABLE was created with the purpose of giving physicians the information they need while eliminating unfair age-related mandatory testing. After years of university research we created an unbiased system that leverages modern technology to compare a person’s skills to that of a healthy normal individual of the same age. We know it is unfair to compare a healthy 75 year old with a 25 year old. In fact we founded the term medically at-risk driver to take the focus off elderly drivers who in most cases are the safest drivers on the road due to less kilometers being driven and self-limiting of driving.
DriveABLE will provide all the tools and materials you need to use our technology. DriveABLE can tailor our services to fit your specific organization's needs. When a license agreement is signed the DriveABLE team will walk you through the processes of getting certified and trained to use our technology. After certification we provide support and quality assurance for the term of the contract.
Driving does not just require single cognitive abilities like memory or attention used in isolation. Instead, driving is a complex task in which memory, attention, judgment and other cognitive abilities are used in concert to guide performance. Through award winning University of Alberta research involving both in-office and on-road testing we were able to develop highly accurate identification systems that protect safe healthy drivers of all ages.
We have spent the last 12 years trying to provide the fairest, most accurate and most unbiased information to our licensees. We strive to ensure that individuals who are being assessed by our technology are not only receiving the very best assessment the world has to offer but that the assessment is being presented in a fair and standardized manner.
